The Augusta Metro Chamber of Commerce, along with Hull College of Business, Augusta University, is pleased to host the February Women in Business Luncheon on Tuesday, February 21 at the Legends Club. The luncheon will begin at 11:30 am and focus on “Why Normal Isn’t Healthy: Living a Balanced Life.”

Normal is not healthy! Guest speaker Dr. Ron Eaker, Women’s Health of Augusta, explains why average is the enemy, and when it comes to wellness, you want to be an outlier. There are four specific tools that anyone at any age can use to promote good physical and mental health, but you have to be willing to zig when others zag. Join Dr. Eaker as he examines simple techniques for balancing mind, body and spirit which leads to an off the chart prescription for wellness.

Dr. Eaker is a practicing physician, author, speaker, husband and dad. He has been listed in "America's Best Doctors" for the past ten years, and is the past Chief-of-Staff and former chairman of the department of OB-Gyn at Trinity Hospital in Augusta, Georgia. Dr. Eaker has appeared on numerous national television and radio shows such as Life Today with James Robison and Janet Parshall's America discussing women's health and wellness. He has been married for 25 years and has two college age daughters. He practices what he preaches having completed seven marathons and half-marathons on three continents including Chicago, Las Vegas, Reykjavik, Rome and five Boston Marathons.

Tickets for the luncheon are $30 for Chamber members and $40 for prospective members.  Register at AugustaMetroChamber.com or by calling 706.821.1300.
