The Augusta Metro Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce Commissioner Pat Wilson, Georgia Department of Economic Development, as the guest speaker for our Member Economic Luncheon. The luncheon, presented by Savannah River Nuclear Solutions, will be held Wednesday, September 6 at 11:30 am at the Augusta Marriott Hotel & Suites.

Commissioner Pat Wilson’s presentation “Current Trends in Economic Growth” will discuss the recent and continuing economic development success of the CSRA, and he will speak on the launch of the new Georgia Defense Exchange program. The afternoon will also feature a Special Announcement from the Chamber on a new initiative coming soon.

Pat Wilson was appointed Commissioner of the Georgia Department of Economic Development by Governor Deal in November 2016. As Commissioner, he leads the state agency responsible for creating jobs and investment opportunities in Georgia through business recruitment and expansion, international trade and tourism, as well as the arts, film and music industries. Mr. Wilson previously served as the Chief Operating Officer of the GDEcD since 2011, after joining the department as Deputy Commissioner for Global Commerce in 2010.

Tickets for the luncheon are $35 for Chamber members and $45 for prospective-members.  Advanced registration is required.
