North Augusta Chamber to Discuss Safety in the Workplace at September Luncheon September 5th

The North Augusta Chamber of Commerce‘s September Power Luncheon will feature a panel discussing being “Safe At Work” and what are the risk factors and prevention strategies for workplace violence?

Workplace violence has the potential to affect any type of business or workplace, especially larger corporations. According to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration for the U.S. Department of Labor almost 2 Million American Workers are victims of some type of workplace violence each year. It is estimated that 25 percent of workplace violence goes unreported.

Join the North Augusta Chamber of Commerce on Thursday, September 5th, as we welcome Guest Speakers Chief John Thomas, North Augusta Public Safety, Beth McLeod, Fulcher Hagler LLP, and a representative from Aiken-Barnwell Mental Health Center. The panel will discuss various safety measures employers and employees can take to make the workplace safer, and how to address any safety issues, both external or internal, if they ever arise. 

The Chamber’s September Power Lunch will be held at the North Augusta Municipal Building, Palmetto Terrace Ballroom at 11:30am.
