The Salvation Army Distributes Toys to Needy Families Friday

Staff Report From Augusta CEO

Friday, December 18th, 2015

At The Salvation Army’s temporary Christmas Warehouse, employees and volunteers will be distributing toys and gifts to the parents of 1200 area children in need who otherwise would not receive Christmas gifts.  The toys were gathered through our local toy drives, stockings, and Angel Tree programs. Thanks to the generous support of the community, The Salvation Army received thousands of toy donations this year!

“We are humbled by the overwhelming generosity of our community and corporate partners,” said Major Tony Perez, Area Commander of The Salvation Army in Augusta. The Salvation Army extends deep gratitude to the media outlets, groups and individuals that made Christmas joyful for Angel Tree participants.
