A recent Georgia Workforce Trend report from the Georgia Department of Labor shows medical and health service management jobs are on the rise, and Augusta University is meeting this growing need with its new Bachelor of Science in Health Services degree.

The degree program is designed for students pursuing a position in health services management, and the rigorous curriculum covers an array of topics including healthcare delivery, leadership, global health, research, and statistics.

“This new undergraduate degree program gives students a first-rate opportunity for learning about the health care system and for entry into one of the wide range of health professional programs, graduate as well as undergraduate.” said Dr. Andrew Balas, dean of the College of Allied Health Sciences at Augusta University.

This degree will be housed in the College of Allied Health Sciences and is set to launch this fall.
