Thursday, May 11th, 2017

Textron Industries announced on Tuesday that it will be closing the former Arctic Cat headquarters office in downtown Minneapolis, affecting more than 60 employees, according to a report in the Thief River Falls (Minnesota) Times. Arctic Cat has had its headquarters in the building for just shy of one year, moving from its previous location in the western Twin Cities suburb of Plymouth. Most Minneapolis employees will shift to Arctic Cat facilities in either St. Cloud or Thief River Falls.

The report in the Thief River Falls Times also included news that Textron will be moving production of the Stampede side-by-side from Augusta, Georgia, to Arctic Cat’s manufacturing plant in Thief River Falls.

In addition, the Thief River Falls Times reported that Textron is moving production of the Stampede engine from Germany to the Arctic Cat production plant in St. Cloud, Minnesota.

Textron acquired Arctic Cat in January.
