Augusta Regional Airport has partnered with Augusta Aviation and the Richmond County Board of Education to offer Richmond County High School students the opportunity to shadow multiple aviation departments!

The Shadow Program is designed to provide students that are interested in the aviation industry the opportunity to shadow professionals within each field, to gain knowledge and experience through the use of observation and hands-on opportunities.

Two students, Donquarius Rhodes from Academy of Richmond County High School and JaQuan Hall from Lucy C. Laney High School, will spend the next four weeks shadowing professionals in aviation fields such as, Airfield Maintenance, Aircraft Maintenance, Avionics, Line Service, Airport Operations, and Airport Engineering.

“As part of our partnership with the RCBOE and DNL, we are proud to continuously provide local students with opportunities to learn more about the Aviation Industry,” said Herbert Judon Jr., Airport’s Executive Director. “We hope this experience will provide these two young men with knowledge and familiarity in the field, as they pursue their career in aviation.”
