The Salvation Army’s Center of Hope Shelter in Need of Pillows and Pillowcases

Staff Report From Augusta CEO

Thursday, June 8th, 2017

The Salvation Army’s homeless shelter is in need of pillows and pillowcases for our Men’s Shelter and Women & Children’s Shelter.

Every day, approximately 130 men, women and children stay in our shelter. In a week that’s 910 times a pillow is being used and 910 times a pillowcases is being washed! With this excessive use our pillows and pillowcases are wearing out quickly. Our current supply is becoming low and buying new ones will put a strain on our already tight budget.

If you are able to help us replenish our supply on pillows and pillowcases, feel free to drop off your donation at the Center of Hope Monday thru Friday 9am - 4:00pm located at 1384 Greene Street Augusta.  Donations will also be accepted at the Kroc Center, 1833 Broad Street Augusta. If you have questions please call 706-826-7933
