Staff Report From Augusta CEO

Charleston, SC-based Indigo Hall Development Company and Atlanta, GA-based Thrive Senior Living announce the development of Indigo Hall of Augusta, an assisted living and memory care community in Martinez, GA, a suburb of Augusta, GA. Indigo Hall Development Company will act as the lead developer on the project, and Thrive Senior Living will operate the community.

Focusing on resident engagement and connectivity in a unique, resort-like environment, Indigo Hall will use a blend of innovative technology, highly trained care teams, and southern hospitality to create a distinctive experience for a new generation of seniors.

Situated on a peaceful 13 acres, the community will feature 85 resort style resident suites, entertainment venues, a spa, beauty salon, wellness center, multiple courtyards featuring rich outdoor amenities, and world class dining. The memory care neighborhood of the community will be programmed for 24 suites reserved for support and secure care. Interior finishes will defy the traditional look and feel of most senior living communities, featuring warm tones, stone, wood, and granite surfaces in a lodge-like environment.

Residents will access their private suites using a keyless RFID system, which can also be used to access various other amenities such as the resident fitness center. Thrive’s unique approach includes using technology to improve resident quality of life, and to deliver care more efficiently and with greater accountability. While the majority of the senior living industry relies on paper records, Thrive will utilize electronic records, which create an entirely digital environment and integrates communication, medication management, electronic health records, and resident care plans.

“While there are some great providers of senior care in Augusta, the market has grown tremendously over the past 10 years, and hasn’t seen a truly innovative new alternative” says Jeramy Ragsdale, CEO of Thrive Senior Living. “I look forward to seeing people’s reaction to this new community. It will not line up with the traditional perception of senior living, and that’s the goal.”

The community will be located at 313 Furys Ferry Road just north of the intersection of Furys Ferry Road and River Watch Parkway. The community will break ground in Summer 2017 and open in Fall 2018. A welcome center will open for future resident and team member inquiries in Spring 2018.
