GA Air National Guard Provides Relief from Hurricane Irma to Florida

The 165th Airlift Wing, GA Air National Guard deployed 52 personnel to aid in the emergency response efforts for the destruction caused by Hurricane Irma.  The men and women from various squadrons with the 165th AW are heading to Orlando, FL to assist in hurricane relief as directed by the disaster commander in the area of operation.

“We are grateful that with little need for hurricane relief efforts in our home state that we can provide quick support to assist our neighbors in Florida,” said Colonel Pete Boone, Director of Air Operations and Vice Commander of the 165th AW.  “This is the role that the United States National Guard has been best known for in serving our country.”
