GA Air National Guard Sends Aircraft to Tennessee in Preparation for Hurricane Irma

The 165th Airlift Wing, GA Air National Guard deployed all of their C-130 H3 cargo aircraft to Memphis, Tennessee in an effort to protect the aircraft and make preparations for relief efforts caused by the destruction caused by Hurricane Irma.

“With the threat of hurricane winds, our first mission is to protect the aircraft that will be so vital for our bringing in relief supplies to areas affected by Hurricane Irma,” said Colonel Jim Marren, Commander of the 165th Airlift Wing.  “Much like the missions we flew in support of Hurricane Harvey last week, we are prepared to do the same for those affected by Hurricane Irma.”
