Kroger Makes Donation to Golden Harvest Food Bank

Kroger’s Atlanta Division recently donated $10,000 and 1,596 cases of water to the Golden Harvest Food Bank located in Augusta, Ga. The donation will support Golden Harvest as it continues to provide assistance for those affected by Hurricane Irma.
 
“Golden Harvest Food Bank is doing incredible work in the wake of Hurricane Irma,” says Felix Turner, corporate affairs manager for Kroger’s Atlanta Division. “We are proud to partner with such a wonderful organization, and we hope this donation will help Golden Harvest continue to make an impact to those in need.”

"During an emergency, we are immediately able to provide extra food and supplies to our community without reservation, knowing that longtime partners, like Kroger, will be there to support us," says Travis McNeal, Executive Director of Golden Harvest Food Bank.

Golden Harvest provides quality food and other grocery products to the Augusta, Ga. community through direct service programs, food pantries and community education about hunger.
