Augusta Regional Airport is excited to provide the traveling public with amazing works of art from three local artists that highlight the creativity of the CSRA’s art community.

Local multi-media artists Dawn Cardona and Stephanie Willingham’s creative 2D and 3D pieces were selected by the Augusta Regional Airport’s Art Committee to be on display in the general aviation terminal for one year. These pieces of art will be viewed by the traveling elite.

Dawn is a resident of North Augusta, South Carolina; an aspiring children’s book illustrator who cuts mixed media into intricate and playful designs by hand, to create illustrations. She aspires to bring smiles to faces world-wide.

Stephanie is an Augusta resident whose art includes the use of nature, and uses colors which are often used to symbolize human life. She is a multi-media artist who uses broken glass, real trees, cement, oil paints, and more. She hopes her work will help others gain a sense of self-worth, inspiration, and spiritual love.

Kendal Gomez also from Augusta, is featured in the main terminal building from October through December. Her exhibit highlights her talent in photography and painting. Titled “Food Face”, her exhibit combines the use of paint, photography, and food. Each of her photos contains one piece of food and is finished with acrylic paint on the faces of her models. She hopes that her unique and creative artistry will influence other aspiring artists.
