Columbia County Chamber of Commerce to Host Pre-Legislative Breakfast November 2nd

The Columbia County Chamber of Commerce will host the organization’s annual Pre-Legislative Breakfast on Thursday, Nov. 2 at Savannah Rapids Pavilion from 7:30 to 9:00 a.m.
 
Former State Representative Ben Harbin, who currently serves as a political strategist with Southern Strategy Group, will be the keynote speaker. After a 20-year legislative career that included a stint as Chairman of the powerful House Appropriations Committee, Harbin joined Southern Strategy Group in 2015. He will speak on “How Businesses Can Become Part of the Legislative Process.”
 
The Pre-Legislative Breakfast will also feature a panel discussion with State Senate and House Representatives from Columbia County. Among the state leaders scheduled to attend are: Senator Jesse Stone, Senator Lee Anderson, Representative Tom McCall, Representative Barry Fleming, Representative Jodi Lott and Representative Mark Newton.
