GM Appointed at New Crowne Plaza in North Augusta

NorthPointe Hospitality Management, LLC names Jeffrey Brower general manager of the new Crowne Plaza Riverside Village in North Augusta, S.C.  The hotel is scheduled to open by the end of 2018 and will be the accommodation piece of the exciting $200 million plus Riverside Village at Hammond’s Ferry development.  Mr. Brower will be responsible for the overall management, sales and operations of the new five-story upscale hotel.

The seasoned hospitality industry veteran is known for the successful executions of openings, turn-arounds and takeovers.  He was actively involved in seven hotel openings, both domestic and international, when he worked with The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company.

Brower spent four years as the general manager of The Ritz-Carlton, Georgetown, a AAA Five Diamond Hotel.  In that role, he was responsible for the overall management, sales and operations of the luxury hotel, 29 resident condominiums and retail space.  He also served as the general manager for The Union Station Hotel, an Autograph Collection Hotel, in Nashville, Tenn.

During his five-year tenure with The Capella Hotel Group, he was the general manager of L’Auberge de Sedona & The Orchards Inn in Sedona, Ariz. and the interim general manager at The Casa Madrona Hotel & Spa in Sausalito, Calif. In addition, Mr. Brower was the general manager of The Partridge Inn in Augusta, Ga. for three years.

Brower began his career in the hospitality industry with The Ritz-Carlton.  He spent eight years working in a variety of positions with increased responsibility at hotels in Sarasota, Fla.; Philadelphia, Pa.; and Kansas City, Mo.   

Most recently, Brower served as the senior general manager of Westfield Montgomery, a 1.5 MM square-foot super regional mall in Bethesda, Md.  He was responsible for the strategic planning and leadership of financials and operations.

Mr. Brower received his Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel/Resort Management from Rochester Institute of Technology.  He has partially completed his MBA at University of Kansas.

Throughout his career, Mr. Brower has been active in the communities in which he works and lives.  He has served as a board member of North Bethesda Transportation Management District, a board member and marketing chairman of Augusta Convention & Visitors Bureau and a board member of Family Y.
