Augusta Regional Airport Partners with Delta Airlines and the American Red Cross to Hold Blood Drive, June 25th

Staff Report From Augusta CEO

Wednesday, June 20th, 2018

Augusta Regional Airport is partnering with Delta Air Lines and the American Red Cross to hold a blood drive at the main terminal of Augusta Regional Airport from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM on June 25, 2018.  During the summer months, blood centers all over the country run short on all blood types because of a decrease in donors and an increase in outside activities that can lead to injuries, so the demand for blood is high.

All donors will receive free Airport parking, a $5 Chick-fil-a meal voucher, $10 Target gift card, and entered into a drawing for a $50 Shell Gas card. Please register at www.redcrossblood.org and enter DELTAAGS in the sponsor box to sign up and to view tips on preparing to give blood.

Delta has partnered with the American Red Cross since 1941 and is the second largest corporate donor of blood in the U.S. and largest in the southeast as well as an Annual Disaster Giving Program participant at the $1 million level, allowing the Red Cross to be strategic and proactive in its disaster response.
