Augusta Regional Airport is pleased to announce the $18,000,000.00-plus expansion and improvement campaign- Advancing, Growing, Stronger; Airports are required by the Federal Aviation Administration to create a Capital Improvement Plan, which is used as the Airport’s primary planning tool for future growth and development.

The Advancing Growing Stronger campaign encompasses several CIP projects as well as other important customer-centric initiatives.  These projects primarily focus on four different areas:

  • Airport Amenities

  • Modernization

  • Capacity Enhancement

  • Business Development

Mr. Herbert L. Judon Jr., Airport Executive Director, stated, “The Advancing Growing Stronger campaign is a very intuitive way to package and communicate to our customers the progress of projects that will ultimately improve the Airport experience and position us to support regional growth. Advancing Growing Stronger will be especially beneficial because most of its projects are things that many of our customers will be able to see, feel, and reap a direct benefit.  Lastly, the letters, AGS not only represents our official Airport identification code but are also three of the primary letters in the name Augusta implying the connectedness the Airport has to the greater Augusta Region.”
