Augusta Warrior Project Announces New Name, Rebrand

The Augusta Warrior Project is excited to announce they will be unveiling a new look and new name on August 30, 6pm, at The Miller Theater. The rebrand, which was privately funded, will be shared for the first time during Thursday’s celebration.

As the only local non-profit organization of its kind, AWP brings together all the necessary resources to help local service members, veterans and their families, connect with programs to mitigate crisis, improve their lives and to empower them to prosper in our local community. Established in 2007, Augusta Warrior Project has proudly served over 13,000 veterans and their families.

President and CEO Kim Elle, Colonel, USAFR was quick to acknowledge that success cannot be achieved alone. “Together, with the support of our amazing community partners, we are able to provide transformational services to brave men and women, all of whom signed a blank check to protect and preserve our freedom, and their success depends on us standing united as a community.”

Elle is excited about the new look and what it will do for the organization. “On Thursday, we hope you will join us as we reveal our new name and honor local veterans.”

AWP selected the Alison South Marketing Group to create the new brand and organize the roll out.

“Alison South conducted extensive research with our stakeholders and community to develop a name that reflects our mission and enables future growth. With the new name, our purpose will not change, and we will have a clearer identity in the community we serve,” Elle said.

Event speakers include Dr. Tom Clark, CSRA Alliance for Fort Gordon; Dr. Tony Robinson, AWP Board Chair; and General Perry Smith.

The Miller Theater is located at 708 Broad St., Augusta. The event is free and open to the public.
