T.R. Reddy to be Honored with Fleur-De-Lis Award

The Boy Scouts of America’s Georgia-Carolina Council will honor local businessman and community leader T.R. Reddy at its 18th annual Fleur-de-Lis gala on Nov. 2 for providing outstanding civic service to adults and youth in the greater Augusta area.

During the gala, Reddy will receive the 2018 Fleur-de-Lis Award, an honor created to recognize local citizens who have provided outstanding community service through demonstrated leadership to worthwhile organizations in the Augusta area.

The inaugural 2017 Fleur-de-Lis Award honored retired Brigadier General Dr. Robert Thomas Cutting. Cutting died earlier this month.

The black-tie-optional gala will be held from 6 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. on Nov. 2 at the Foundry at 250 Boy Scout Road in Augusta. The event will feature a plated dinner, open bar, interactive live auction and live band “Bethany and The Southside Boys.”

Reddy, an engineer by trade, is actively involved in the local Augusta community.  He is a graduate of 1991 Leadership Augusta.  He serves or has served on the boards of Augusta Chamber of Commerce, Columbia County Chamber of Commerce, Easter Seals of America, University Hospital Foundation, St. Joseph Hospital Foundations, and the Augusta Convention and Visitors Bureau.

Reddy also was appointed by the Governor of Georgia to the Georgia Medical Center Authority.  He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Salvation Army, Augusta Convention and Visitors Bureau and is the Chairman of Trinity Hospital Board of Trustees. Reddy is also a Rotarian.
