L.B. Productions, LLC, the University of South Carolina Aiken's Convocation Center, and WAAW Shout 94.7 FM Radio have recently formed a partnership to help bring additional diverse entertainment options to the Central Savannah River Area (CSRA).  L.B. Productions, LLC, an Augusta-based event marketing and promotions company owned by Lewis Landon and Robbie Bell, is known for bringing the renowned Mixed Martial Arts event, King of the Cage, to this region.  Having a desire to expand its event offerings,  Landon initiated the joint venture by reaching out to the Convocation Center management and Donna Moore Wesby, general manager of WAAW Shout 94.7 FM, which features a gospel music format.

The team plans to bring to the Aiken/Augusta market three or more events annually utilizing the Convocation Center as one venue.  Currently in the works is the first ever CSRA Gospel Music Heritage Awards, which was a vision of WAAW's Host of The Quartet Showcase and Gospel music artist Pastor Billy Smith.  The awards program will be held Saturday, September 7, 2019, at the University of South Carolina Aiken's Convocation Center.  This event will primarily honor local persons who have made contributions to the advancement of gospel music and will feature national and local guest artists performances, awards presentations, vendors, and dinner.
