Augusta Regional Airport and America’s Adopt A Soldier Hosts Dedication Grand Opening of the MG Harry Greene Military Family Hospitality Suite

Staff Report From Augusta CEO

Friday, April 5th, 2019

Augusta Regional Airport (AGS) partnered with America’s Adopt A Solider® to renovate, upgrade and rededicate the hospitality suite. The project was made possible by sponsor-partnerships-grants from the Myers Greene family, the Augusta Fort Gordon Chapter of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA), and Ashley Furniture.  We are honored to rededicate the Military Hospitality Suite as the “MG Harry Greene Military Family Hospitality Suite”, which now offers a new big screen TV, new furniture, a kids play area, wall of honor, and new computer stations!

A ribbon cutting will be held on Friday, April 5th at 11:00 a.m. in front of the “MG Harry Greene Military Family Hospitality Suite” located inside the main terminal building.

“It was a privilege to work with the dedicated team at Augusta Regional Airport to redesign, furnish the Military Family Hospitality Suite.  The experience of coordinating with Myers Greene family concerning the dedication of the Military Family Suite in honor of MG Greene, was very humbling.” Said Mary Keeser, founder and chairman of America’s Adopt A Soldier. “This Lounge will provide a welcoming, clean, and safe environment for our service members to relax with Family and Friends.”
