Georgia War Veterans Nursing Home Receives Top Grade from VA Survey for Third Straight Year

Staff Report From Augusta CEO

Wednesday, October 9th, 2019

For the third year in a row, the Georgia War Veterans Nursing Home has passed the annual Veterans Affairs Survey with no deficiencies.

This rare accomplishment is added to the ranking of the top 15 percent of senior care providers in the country, which Georgia War received from Pinnacle Quality Insight earlier this year.

Georgia War continues to be distinguished among the best in its class year after year for providing some of the best care for the country’s veterans.

“This federal VA survey is annual comprehensive evaluation of our clinical, financial, and ancillary operations,” said Carlton Deese, executive director of Georgia War. “This has been one of our most successful VA inspections with zero deficiencies noted — an outstanding accomplishment which is seldom achieved during health care surveys. They complimented us on our ‘excellent patient care, environment of care and customer service.’ This accomplishment is truly a reflection of the hard work and commitment of our team here to ensure that our veterans and their families receive the best care available.”
