Senator Kelly Loeffler Announces Campaign Staff

Conservative businesswoman and U.S. Senator Kelly Loeffler announced four key staff positions on the Georgians for Kelly Loeffler campaign. Billy Kirkland will serve as Loeffler's Campaign Manager and Senior Advisor. Taylor Brown will serve as Deputy Campaign Manager, while Stephen Lawson and Caitlin O'Dea will join the campaign as Communications Director and Press Secretary, respectively.

"I'm proud to have these experienced, conservative leaders on board as we continue to grow our team," said Sen. Loeffler. "They have a proven track record of helping elect candidates at the highest levels. Their skill, expertise, and shared commitment to conservative causes will help ensure we engage with voters in every corner of our state and deliver a resounding victory in November."

Loeffler will release her strategy, political, and grassroots team later this week.

Billy Kirkland, Campaign Manager and Senior Advisor

Billy Kirkland brings over 15 years of political and campaign experience of all levels to the table. He began his career in the office of then-Governor Sonny Perdue and later joined Perdue's successful 2006 re-election campaign. Following his time with Governor Perdue, he led political operations as National Field Director for the Faith & Freedom Coalition, and later went on to oversee David Perdue's successful 2014 senatorial bid as Campaign Manager.
 
In 2016, Kirkland worked on the Trump for President Campaign as a Senior Advisor to President Trump. Following a successful election, he was tapped to join the Executive Office of the President as a Special Assistant and Deputy Director of White House External Affairs. During the 2018 midterm elections, Kirkland transitioned to the Office of the Vice President as Director of External Affairs. He currently serves as a Senior Advisor for the Trump 2020 Campaign and a Senior Advisor for Vice President Pence's leadership PAC.

Taylor Brown, Deputy Campaign Manager

Taylor Brown has worked in professional politics since 2006 on a variety of congressional, state senate, state house, county commission, school board, and municipal races. He has held every senior role on a political campaign including campaign manager, political director, digital director, finance director, and grassroots director.

In 2016, Brown served as a general consultant for several successful political campaigns, and in 2018 served as Campaign Manager to republican gubernatorial candidate Clay Tippins. He presently owns his own political consulting firm, and practices law locally at Draughon Law Group in Macon.

Stephen Lawson, Communications Director

Stephen Lawson is a veteran communications professional who has held numerous roles in Florida's political, public, and private sectors.

In 2018, Lawson served as the Communications Director for Florida Governor Ron DeSantis' successful Gubernatorial campaign. In 2014, he served as Rapid Response Director for then-Governor and now-U.S. Senator Rick Scott's successful re-election campaign. Between campaigns, Lawson served as Governor Scott's Director of Research and Writing within his official office. He also held Communications Director positions at Enterprise Florida, the Department of Business and Professional Regulation, and VISIT FLORIDA, the state's tourism agency.

Caitlin O'Dea, Press Secretary

Caitlin O'Dea joins the Georgians for Kelly Loeffler campaign after working in a variety of political roles in various campaigns and offices across the state.

Following a series of legislative positions at the Georgia Chamber of Commerce, the Department of Transportation, and Office of the Lt. Governor, she transitioned to serve as Campaign Manager for Houston Gaines' 2018 state house race. After Gaines' successful election, O'Dea went on to serve as Press Secretary for Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger. She most recently spent the 2019 municipal election cycle working as Campaign Manager for Savannah Mayor Eddie DeLoach.
