Staff Report From Augusta CEO

Tuesday, April 14th, 2020

CSRA Probation Services is using all of its resources to help clients stay healthy while maintaining compliance with their court orders.

“Even in these uncertain times, our clients still need to be able to check in and keep up with the terms of their probation,” said Mike Popplewell, the owner and president of CSRA Probation Services. “We offer several ways for them to be able to do that while keeping themselves and our employees safe.”

Probationers can log on at CSRAClients.com to check in, make a payment and even request assistance.

“I have it set up so that if anyone requests assistance, that form comes directly to me,” Popplewell said. “They can request assistance for drug and alcohol counseling and even employment and housing assistance, and I will personally work to get them the help they need.”

The website also has information about COVID-19 financial relief, including links to benefits.

“We are here to help people succeed,” said Ginny Kent, the CEO of CSRA Probation Services. “We want people to keep up with the terms of their probation, but more than that, we want them to succeed financially and emotionally. If we can help them do that, we are more than willing to do whatever we can.”

Clients also can maintain social distancing and report and pay by phone or through the CSRA Probation Services smartphone app.

Popplewell points out that clients who are having financial hardships just need to talk to their probation officer and not just put off reporting.

“We know a lot of people are having a tough time with employment right now,” Popplewell said. “We would rather work with someone than see them get in trouble for avoiding probation.”
