Arts in the Heart of Augusta Awarded Best Festival in the South

The Greater Augusta Arts Council is pleased to announce that Arts in the Heart of Augusta Festival was named the 2020 Top Festival of the Year by the Southeast Tourism Society. The 2 ½ day festival spans 4 city blocks and is a celebration of the varied arts and cultural diversity that make up Augusta. Scheduled for September 18-20, 2020, it includes a unique Global Food Village with authentic cuisine from over 20 countries, 150 juried Fine Artists booths, 5 stages of non-stop performances, and a large inter-active Family Area with street performers and hands-on activities for children.

The STS Top 20 Festival and Event Awards is celebrating 34 years of spotlighting the best festivals and events in the Southeast.  The Southeast offers many unique, year-round, opportunities for attendees to create memories and support an industry that is an economic generator for its community. STS, founded in 1983 and headquartered in Roswell, Ga., is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting travel and tourism within 12 states – Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia.
