The Georgia-Carolina Council of the Boy Scouts of America has been selected as a beneficiary of the Community Bag Program for the month of June. The BI-LO Community Bag Program, which launched in February 2019, is a reusable bag program that facilitates community support with the goal to make a difference in the communities where shoppers live and work.

The Georgia-Carolina Council was selected as the June beneficiary of the program by store leadership at the BI-LO located at 2512 Tobacco Rd. Hephzibah, GA. The Georgia-Carolina Council will receive a $1 donation every time the $2.50 reusable Community Bag is purchased at this location during June, unless otherwise directed by the customer through the Giving Tag attached to the bag. “We are grateful to the BI-LO team for selecting us as their charity for the month. As we celebrate our 100th year of service to the youth of the CSRA we are proud to continue to teach and support environmentally friendly projects and partner with great businesses like BI-LO” said Daniel Rogers, Executive Director of the Georgia-Carolina Council, Boy Scouts of America. “This donation will go to support our camp programs at Robert E Knox Scout Reservation.”
