The Columbia County Chamber of Commerce will host its Teachers In Business Day, this year virtually, on Thursday, October 29.

A partnership of the Columbia County Chamber Foundation and the Columbia County School System, Teachers In Business Day is a coordinated virtual tour of local businesses for Columbia County private and public school educators. Since 2013, the Chamber has hosted this program with various groups of educators such as principals, CTAE teachers, STEM teachers and guidance counselors.

The program, presented by The Development Authority of Columbia County, is focused on various industries and the career needs of each. The goal of the program is to understand the career opportunities available within a variety of companies and industries in our own region. This year the Chamber partnered with A Tad Creative Productions to produce five, five-minute videos featuring local businesses showcasing their workforce needs.

The participants will begin the two hour event with The Development Authority of Columbia County sharing results of their recent workforce study, then tune into a five-minute video, followed by a Q&A with the participating businesses.

Companies participating in this year’s program include: Classic Collision, Columbia County Fire Rescue, HealthWise/Nutritional Resources, Inc., Greenbrier Veterinary Services and M3 Agency.
