On Thursday, December 17, join the Augusta Metro Chamber and panelists from Corsica Technologies, Blanchard and Calhoun Insurance Agency and SME CPAs to learn smart solutions to decrease your business costs and position yourself toward success in the new year. The Chamber’s Third Thursday Business Builder focusing on ‘3 Smart Ways to Decrease Business Costs in 2021’ will be held at Sizemore Inc. State of the Art Training Room (2003 Gordon Hwy).
Butch Holley, Account Executive with Corsica Technologies, will outline the case for technology maintenance contracts, saving even small businesses the challenge of hourly rates and getting dependable maintenance. Butch holds a BBA in Management from Brenau University and is an experienced B2B Account Manager with a 25+ year history of working in the sales and services arena. In his role with Corsica Technologies, Butch has a focused knowledge base on Cybersecurity, Foundational IT Services, CMMC Compliance & Digital Transformation Services.
Preston Moss, President of Blanchard and Calhoun Insurance Agency, will present on the Drugs Don't Work program and the ways you can save money on workers compensation insurance. Preston is a graduate of the Academy of Richmond County and of the University of Georgia. He previously served as past president of the Independent Insurance Agents of Augusta, was a board member of the Independent Insurance Agents of Georgia and has served on numerous foundations and local nonprofit organizations in the Augusta community.
Sharon Blitch, CFO Services Manager with Serotta Maddocks Evans CPAs, will advise on how to use accounting technology, such as QBO Intuit, to manage receivables and pay expenses without having to go to the post office, for example. Sharon received her BBA in Accounting from Augusta University. She specializes in accounting system analysis, process streamlining, advanced reporting, and holds a QuickBooks Pro Advisor Certification for Desktop, Online and Point of Sale.
