Goodwill Will Light Up Augusta with Annual Tree Lighting at EAB on December 1st

Monday, November 29th, 2021

Edgar’s Above Broad (EAB) is getting into the Christmas spirit early this year.  On December 1st EAB will kickstart the holiday season with its annual tree lighting ceremony.  The festivities will begin with the official 20-foot tree lighting at 5:45 p.m. led by Master of Ceremonies, Jared Williams, District Attorney for Augusta.

“Events like these encourage the local community to come enjoy our venue from the rooftop or to stand up on Broad Street and look up as Goodwill lights up Augusta,” says James Stiff, CEO of Goodwill Industries of Middle Georgia and the CSRA. “Helms College students directly benefit from receiving hands-on experience at our venues while community members learn more about our mission”.

EAB will also be featuring pictures with Santa on Thursday, December 9th from 5 to 8 p.m.  The event is BYOC (bring your own camera) and includes cookies and milk.  Tickets are limited and can be purchased at edgarsabovebroad.com/happenings.  The admission price of $10 includes a gift card for $5 off at Edgar’s Above Broad.

EAB will be spreading holiday cheer throughout the month of December.  If you have a choir that would like to perform under the shimmering lights of the EAB Christmas Tree, please contact Toney Cross, Senior Manager of Mission Services, at [email protected] or 706.854.4754.  Stay tuned for updates on performances at www.edgarsabovebroad.com or via social media.
