A New Neighborhood is Coming to Columbia County

Tuesday, January 25th, 2022

A new neighborhood is coming to Columbia County! Jackson Heights, a 74.26-acre master-planned community, with 168 homesites, is the closest new construction neighborhood in Columbia County to Fort Gordon. The neighborhood offers the convenience of a centrally-located neighborhood with close proximity to medical offices, Doctors Hospital, shopping, dining, and I-20 for ease of access to other area amenities. Meybohm intends for Jackson Heights to be a multi-generational community of streetscapes, trails, parks, landscaping, and homes that are based on established design principles as the homes are being built according to a well-crafted pattern book that was established for the neighborhood. The 6 main parks make up over 9 acres of land and there is also a 2-acre fishing pond with kayak storage near the banks. 46.3% of the property, 34.4 acres, will be greenspace and parks, making this the ideal community for those who enjoy the outdoors and serene views.

While the homes themselves may have their own character, each development aspect contributes to the overall feel of a well-designed neighborhood which enhances the sense of community. The homes will be all designed to address the street and porches are encouraged on homes being built to create a greater sense of community and interaction.  5 local builders are working together to carefully craft these homes, offering 3 different price points and a cozy community feel.

Meybohm’s ultimate goal when developing Jackson Heights is to protect its value as a community and allow it to become a true asset to Columbia County. For more information on this and other opportunities to further the conversation, feel free to reach out at your convenience.
