The Georgia Department of Education released 2022 College and Career Ready Performance Index (CCRPI) reports this morning. Following guidance from the federal and state education regulatory agencies, the school system will use the data as a new baseline to measure future student academic growth and achievement.

The Georgia Department of Education requested a one-year modification to account for data limitations resulting from the extraordinary circumstances of the last two years. Some of the modifications approved by the U.S. Department of Education include removal of overall scores and letter grades, no reporting of comparison data and no report of student progress or student attendance due to the impact of the pandemic.

In response to the new CCRPI reports, Dr. Kenneth Bradshaw released the following statement:

“The CCRPI reports released today give us a new baseline to build and evaluate student achievement growth. We continue to implement and evaluate our plan to advance student learning. In addition to investing resources to help our children succeed, we are working closely with our teachers to make sure they have the training and tools they need to be effective in the classroom. With the support of our families and community, we are confident that we will see notable growth in student achievement.”
