GeorgiaForward Announces Milledgeville/Baldwin County as Next Young Gamechanger Community

Executive Director of Georgia Forward Kris Vaughn discusses the selection of its newest Young Gamechanger Community for the Fall of 2017 - Milledgeville/Baldwin County.

Statewide non-profit GeorgiaForward has named Milledgeville/Baldwin County as the location for its Fall 2017 Young Gamechangers leadership action program and opened applications for participants. Planning its sixth class, Young Gamechangers brings together 50 emerging leaders from around the State to one Georgia community to propose big idea solutions to some of their longstanding challenges.
 
Angie Martin, President and CEO of the Milledgeville-Baldwin County Chamber, said, “We are thrilled to host this talented and diverse group of young leaders from across Georgia in our community this Fall. As a Young Gamechanger Alumna, I know firsthand what a huge collective impact this program will have on Milledgeville-Baldwin County, not only during the five months the group is working here but for years into the future. We are honored to have been selected for this opportunity and can not wait to see and hear the impactful, gamechanging recommendations proposed by the 50 elite participants.”

Young professionals from across Georgia with a passion for uniting our State and strengthening our communities should apply online at georgiaforward.org to be a member of the Fall 2017 Young Gamechangers. Applicants must be between the ages of 24-40. Ambitious minds from any professional sector will be considered. Applications must be received by midnight on Friday, May 12, 2017.
 
Previous Young Gamechangers focus communities include Americus/Sumter County, Dublin/Laurens County and Douglasville/Douglas County, Augusta and LaGrange/Troup County.
