Top 10 in 10 Awards and Georgians First Commission Keynote at Member Economic Luncheon June 20th

The Augusta Metro Chamber Member Economic Luncheon honoring the 2019 Top 10 in 10 Young Professionals to Watch and featuring keynote Scott Hilton with the Georgians First Commission will be held on Thursday, June 20, 11:30 am at the Augusta Marriott.  The luncheon’s keynote, presented by Hull College of Business, Augusta University, is focused on ‘People Ingenuity Meets Business Innovation’ and will feature the presentation of the Top 10 in Top 10 Awards, sponsored by Augusta Magazine.

Mayor Hardie Davis Jr. and Ashlee Duren, Publisher of Augusta Magazine, will present the awards to the 2019 Top 10 in 10 recipients.  In recognizing the Top 10 in 10 Young Professionals to Watch, the Chamber not only honors these individuals’ achievements in their respective industries, but also the sense of community and passion to move things forward demonstrated by each of these future leaders.

Speaking further on this focus, speaker Scott Hilton will discuss how the Augusta Region greater business community can engage in the effort to create an environment where small businesses can hire more Georgians, expand operations in their local communities, and create greater economic opportunity in every part of our state.

Scott Hilton serves as Executive Director for the Georgians First Commission under the Office of the Governor.  The Georgians First Commission is laser focused on streamlining government to make Georgia the most attractive state for small business.  Prior to this role, Scott spent his career in commercial banking providing small businesses with the valuable capital needed to fund growth.  Scott also served as a State Representative in the Georgia General Assembly and was recognized as “Legislator of the Year” by numerous organizations.
