Christ Community Health Names New CEO

Christ Community Health Services has named Don Branum as Chief Executive Officer.

Branum has more than 12 years’ of healthcare leadership experience and was executive director for a large multisite church for 8 years.  He comes to Augusta from Primary Care of Southwest Georgia where he was Chief Operating Officer. Previously he was CEO/CFO of Family Health Services in Sandusky, Ohio.

“The board of directors is thrilled that Don has joined Christ Community,” said Board President Howard Merry. “His experience at other community health centers will help us continue to grow and increase our impact on the Augusta area. Plus, he fully embraces the mission of Christ Community.”

Branum said, "I’m excited to join Christ Community Health. I look forward to serving alongside the team as we provide excellent medical, dental and behavioral care to under-served families of Augusta and the surrounding communities.  But more importantly, it’s a privilege to join the mission of Christ Community in sharing the life changing love, grace, and joy of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ." 

Branum earned a Healthcare Administration degree from Bowling Green State University.   

Founded in 2007, Christ Community Health operates two primary care health centers in downtown Augusta. They provide adult and pediatric medical, dental and behavioral health services to uninsured and under-insured families from a 10-country region around Augusta.
