Augusta CVB Board of Directors Elects New Officers, Welcomes Three New Members

The Board of Directors of the Augusta Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) welcomes three new members and new officers for 2021.

The new Augusta CVB Board members are:

  • Chris Bird is General Manager of the Augusta Entertainment Complex. He is employed by Spectra, a private management company with over 750 clients in the venue management, food and beverage, and partnership sector. Chris represents Attractions, Facilities and Events on the Board. He will serve a three-year term.

  • Brandon Garrett is District 8 Commissioner on the Augusta-Richmond County Commission. He is Business Development Account Executive for Azalea Outdoor. Brandon’s Board seat represents Augusta’s Super District 10, and he will serve a two-year term.

  • Tripp Harrison is Senior Vice President of Goodwill of Middle Georgia & The CSRA and Edgar’s Hospitality Group. He represents one of two Restaurant seats on the Board. He will serve a three-year term.

Additionally, new officers were elected for the Augusta CVB Board. Those new officers are:

  • Brandon Haddock was elected to Board Chair. He is the Director of Communications at Textron Specialized Vehicles.

  • James Heffner was elected as Vice Chair. He is Vice President of Commercial Banking for First Community Bank.

  • Other officers include:

    • Treasurer – Randall Blumberg, COO of M&E Hospitality, which includes the Hyatt House Augusta/Downtown

    • Secretary – Sue Parr, President/CEO of the Augusta Metro Chamber of Commerce

    • Immediate Past Chair – Phil Wahl, President of Security Federal Bank
