Thursday, June 23rd, 2022

The Lucy Craft Laney Museum is very pleased to announce the official re-opening of the Lucy Craft Laney Museum of Black History, located at 1116 Phillips Street. The Museum was closed due to Covid and then 10 months for major renovations to the 111-year-old building. Renovations included installing a new elevator and extensive repairs to the inside and outside of the building.

The Museum would like to recognize Bank of America, who supports and gives back to the community. Bank of America has been a huge supporter of the Museum, including sponsoring  the reopening by providing 4 weeks of free admission for the community during the month of June.

“We believe in the power of the arts to help economies thrive, and we are proud to continue our partnership with the Lucy Craft Laney Museum,” said Ora Parish, President, Bank of America Greater Augusta / Aiken.

Join us at the Museum and see for yourself the wonderful new renovations as well as our redesigned permanent exhibits!
