Goodwill of Middle Georgia and the CSRA launched their “New Lives” ad campaign that tells a compelling story about how donations to Goodwill help change lives by providing career training, jobs and other services to individuals who face challenges accessing these types of services.

Consumers know about Goodwill retail stores though many may not be aware that this household brand’s mission is to provide people with support to empower themselves and thrive through training, development and employment. Goodwill of Middle Georgia and the CSRA assists people through a variety of employment placement services, job training programs and other community-based services such as AbilityOne, Vocational Rehabilitation Services, and Supportive Services for Veteran Families.

The New Lives campaign features many faces and stories of Goodwill job seekers, sharing what they have overcome and how donations from the public have played a vital role in their self-empowerment. Donation of gently used items allows Goodwill to offer free services to those who need them. Thousands of people receive employment and other human service programs through Goodwill each year. Last year, Goodwill of Middle Georgia and the CSRA helped more than 3,800 people get placed into jobs.

“Each year, we help over 10,000 residents gain the skills they need for better employment,” said Jim Stiff, CEO of Goodwill of Middle Georgia and the CSRA. “Connecting our program participants to the right opportunities can lead to lasting positive change. Our desire with this campaign is to educate donors and job seekers on our great mission and services that give greater purpose to the thrifting experience.”

Goodwill of Middle Georgia and the CSRA sells donated goods with proceeds going directly to provide job placement and training, skills development for career advancement, and other necessary support services for people looking to learn skills and advance their careers.
