Destination Augusta Announces New Chief Marketing Officer Hire

Destination Augusta is pleased to announce the hiring of Karen Lee Davis as the new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). Joining the executive team, Karen will support all departments to achieve marketing priorities and initiatives. 

In her role as CMO, Karen will be responsible for driving demand for leisure visitors and group/event business, creating room demand through overall marketing and sales initiatives. Additionally, she will be committed to sales strategy, direction, management, and top-level oversight of room night sales, communications, digital and print marketing, and public relations. 

Karen brings more than 20 years of non-profit marketing and strategic communications experience. From outdoor sports enthusiasts and conservationists (National Wild Turkey Federation) to veterans and military families (Hope For The Warriors), she’s served various populations by creating resources for them and increasing public awareness through educational and fundraising campaigns. Most recently, she led the marketing arm of Goodwill Industries of Middle Georgia and the CSRA. Her passion is bringing out the strengths of a team and empowering them to create bigger things together. She’s energized to work with the Destination Augusta team to create connections and experiences that draw people to our dynamic city and generate the resources needed to elevate our businesses and, more importantly, people.
