He most recently served as the general manager of Hilton’s Doubletree Hotel in Downtown Chattanooga, Tenn. During his 14 years with the Vision Hospitality Group, he consistently was in the top 10 percent or greater in Hilton’s SALT (Service and Loyalty Tracker) service scores and achieved five outstanding quality assurance reviews in a row, which placed his hotel in the top four percent of Hilton Worldwide for service. Bill has an extensive background in hotel renovations. “I am looking forward to working at this beautiful historic property which is such a highly regarded landmark in this city,” said Bill. “The next four months promise to be an exciting time as we completely renovate this hotel. I am looking forward to re-introducing the Partridge Inn to Augusta, especially during such a prestigious event as the Masters.”

Over the years, Bill has received countless awards and recognition for his outstanding and superior service in the hospitality industry. Some of his most notable awards include; General Manager of the Year by the American Hotel Lodging Association and for the state of Tennessee, the 2011 Governor’s Award for the State of Tennessee for Sustainability and most recently he was awarded 2014 Humanitarian of the Year by the Tennessee Hospitality Association.  Bill has served on the executive board and as president of the Tennessee Hospitality & Tourism Association since 2003.

“We are excited to welcome someone whose expertise and personality meshes so well with the Partridge Inn,” said Gregory Winey, President of Northpointe Hospitality Management, LLC “With his extensive background in the industry, we know that Bill will continue to enhance the guest experience across all facets of the hotel and community.”

The historic hotel, which first opened in 1910, will undergo $6 million in improvements to restore the property to its status as Augusta’s Grand Dame of Hospitality. During the four month renovation, The Partridge Inn will continue to take reservations for bookings starting in spring 2015, just in time for the 2015 Masters.

The hotel was purchased back in June 2014 by Partridge Inn Holdings, LLC and will be operated by Atlanta-based Northpointe Hospitality Management, LLC, with the goal of a complete renovation that would bring the property up to the modern day standards and amenities that today’s travelers have come to expect.
