Habitat for Humanity of North Augusta has been very fortunate to have both dedicated contractors and volunteers on the most current project. In a short seven weeks following acquisition of the property, contractors have been able to clear and grade the lot, dig the foundation and erect the block enabling volunteers to complete the floor foundation, sub-floor and all four exterior walls of the house. Of particular note is the continuing contribution from Beverly Landscaping, volunteer retirees from Mount Vintage Plantation and of course the dedicated core Habitat construction crew, many of whom have been with us for several years. The main cog of the operation is, of course, our construction foreman Ben Hills, who despite running his own construction business, finds the time to provide us with  professional assistance and expertise needed so that our homes are built to plan and pass all of the required residential inspections.
