Augusta Welcomes Licensed Professional Counselors Association

The Augusta Convention and Visitors Bureau is proud to welcome the Licensed Professional Counselors Association of Georgia, LPCA for its 27th Annual Convention and Regional Conference, May 7 – 10.  The four-day, annual conference will be held at the Augusta Marriott at the Convention Center with the purpose of Clinical Mental Health training for an estimated 250 attendees.  The regional training conference will generate more than $308,294.00 in direct visitor spending for the city of Augusta. 

The LPCA started in 1987, and is a dynamic, advanced organization promoting the role of professional counselors as leaders in mental health care.

To obtain the latest information in the field, attendees to the 27th Annual Regional Conference will find a wide range of continuing educations workshop topics dedicated to enhancing clinical knowledge.  Session choices will include ethics, trauma, addiction, psychopharmacology workshops and a presentation by Terry Real on Friday.  LPCA is also implementing a new format for their supervision track, which allows attendees to obtain all twenty-four hours required to achieve the Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor designation.
