First Latina Expo in Augusta to Showcase Hispanic Women Entrepreneurs

According to the U.S. Census Bureau’s 2012 Survey of Business Owners, there are nearly 1.5 million businesses in the United States that are owned by Latinas. The Latina Expo organizers are excited to expose the CSRA  to some of those businesses that are right here in our community. Meet Latina entrepreneurs, businesswomen, and change agents during the Latina Expo on Friday, March 11 from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm  and Saturday, March 12 from 10 am to 4 pm at the Augusta-Richmond County Public Library System Headquarters Branch on  823 Telfair St., Augusta. This event is free, bilingual, and open to the public.

The Expo’s exhibitor showcase begins on Friday, March 11 at  2:30 pm to 4:30 pm and features Latina entrepreneurs and businesswomen as well as local social service agencies. The Expo will reopen onSaturday, March 12 at 10 am for a full day of discussions, speakers, entertainment, and door prizes.  Highlights include the panel discussion “Latinas in the Restaurant Business” at 10:30 am, the keynote “Latina Businesswomen in Their Own Words” at 12:30 pm,  and a final panel discussion, “Latino Social Services” at 2:30 pm.
