New Faces Join The Augusta GreenJackets Staff

The Augusta GreenJackets, Single-A Affiliate of the San Francisco Giants, have rounded out their front office staff for the upcoming season. The GreenJackets have welcomed 5 new members to the front office.

The GreenJackets have announced that Greg Dietz, David Hutto, Killian Vallieu, Shannon Mitchell and Steven Rodriguez have joined the full-time staff.

Dietz joins the staff as the Senior Ticket Sales Account Executive after spending the previous2 years with the Syracuse Chiefs. Prior to his time in Syracuse, he worked for the independent Washington Wild Things, the Tri-City ValleyCats, and the Lehigh Valley IronPigs. The 2016 season will be his 6th season working in professional baseball.

Hutto is in his first year as Food and Beverage Supervisor. He has worked the previous two years as a seasonal concessions employee with the GreenJackets. He comes from 8 years in the retail business, and 22 years in the catalog printing business.

Vallieu is a former Box Office Intern for the GreenJackets. He has been promoted to Account Executive and Ticket Operations Specialist. Prior to Augusta, he spent time working for the Dayton Dragons.

Shannon Mitchell will take on the Account Executive and Community Relations Specialists role. She spent last season as the Community Relations and Retail Merchandise Intern with the GreenJackets. Prior to moving to Augusta, she spent time working for the Myrtle Beach Pelicans.

Steven Rodriguez rounds out the new full-time additions in 2016 as he takes on the role of Senior Account Executive. He hails from Buda, Texas after spending 4 years in intercollegiate with IMG College at Rice University and the University of Texas at San Antonio. Prior to his time with IMG, he worked with the Houston Rockets and the Houston Texans.

In addition to four new full-time staff members, the GreenJackets have added Ashley Currao, Charlie O’Connor, Troy Pakusch, Tyler Henderson, and William Chase as interns.

Currao hails from Howell, New Jersey after graduating from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania in 2015 with a degree in Sports Management, and a minor in Coaching and Athletic Administration. She will be serving in the Merchandise and Community Relations internship. This will be her first season in minor league baseball.

O’Connor joins the GreenJackets as a recent college graduate from Montclair State University in New Jersey, where he studied Political Science. He joins the GreenJackets operations department for his first season in minor league baseball.

Pakusch is a sales intern in his first year with the GreenJackets. He comes over to the team after previously working as a group sales/promotions intern for the Rochester Red Wings. He is on track to graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Sports Management this upcoming May. This will be Troy’s second year working in minor league baseball.

Henderson begins his first season with the Augusta GreenJackets as a sales intern, coming to Augusta having previously interned with the Richmond Flying Squirrels, and completing internships with the Aberdeen IronBirds, Washington Nationals, and the Peninsula Pilots from the Coastal Plain League.

Chase is in his first season as a member of the Augusta GreenJackets and will work in the Marketing and Media internship in 2016. He comes over after previously working as an intern for the Richmond Flying Squirrels.

Finalizing the staff changes for 2016, Director of Ticket Sales Mike Van Hise will be leaving the GreenJackets, but staying with the Agon Sports and Entertainment family, as he has been promoted to Assistant General Manager of the GreenJackets’ sister team, the Boise Hawks, Northwest League affiliate of the Colorado Rockies.
