Wednesday, June 29th, 2016

The Family YMCA of Greater Augusta is adding two mobile café sites to the Summer Food Service Program. Snacks and meals will be provided to all children 18 years old and younger, regardless of membership, at some of the various locations of the Y’s summer camps. Mobile café’s will be visiting area apartment complexes to serve lunch as an additional service with the Summer Food Program.

“We’re dedicated to ensuring our youth can overcome the hunger gap during the summer months, as many children are unsure of where their next meal will come from,” says Danny McConnell, President/CEO of the Family YMCA of Greater Augusta. “We want to help our youth grow into healthy adults.”

Acceptance and participation requirements for the program and all activities are the same for all regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability, and there will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service. Meals will be provided at the specific sites and times listed below.
