Moe’s Southwest Grill, a restaurant offering fresh, made-to-order southwest fare, will hold its sixth annual Joey’s for Juniors fundraiser on Wednesday, Dec. 7, to benefit Children’s Hospital of Georgia. For one day only, the Joey Bag of Donuts burritos at all area Moe’s locations will be sold for just $5 – a discount of about $2 per purchase. In addition, Moe’s will donate $2 to Children’s Hospital of Georgia for every burrito purchased.

“Moe’s is all about kids – from the food, to the atmosphere, to our charitable efforts – and I can think of no group more deserving than the children at CHOG,” said Augusta Moe’s franchisee Chris Smith. “We’re especially excited to continue our longstanding partnership with the Children’s Hospital of Georgia while offering our guests an awesome deal on one of our most popular menu items.”

Last year’s donations helped fund a patient simulator for training new residents and staff on heart catheterization techniques. This year the money will help purchase NeoBlue Billi Lights, a special light therapy to reduce the bilirubin levels in the skin of babies who are jaundiced.

The Joey’s for Juniors event will take place simultaneously across all four Moe’s CSRA locations, including: Whiskey Road in Aiken, Washington Walk Shopping Center, Augusta Mall, and Mullins Crossing.
