The Salvation Army Cans & Fans and Bottled Water Drive For Those in Need

The Salvation Army’s annual Cans, Fans & Bottled Water Drive will be taking place this Saturday, May 20th from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Employees and volunteers of the Salvation Army will be stationed in front of the North Augusta Wal-Mart accepting donations of canned food, electric fans and bottled water.

All donations will be given to local families in Augusta who are in need of these items. Augusta faces extreme heat during the summer months and these donations will be used to help families stay cool and hydrated.

“No one enjoys suffering through oppressing Augusta summers,” said Captain Philip Canning, The Salvation Army Area Commander, “We are excited to partner with Wal-Mart again to bring relief to so many people with the support of our local community and Wal-Mart customers; together we’ll make a difference this summer.”

Donations are accepted at:

· Walmart, 1201 Knox, Avenue, North Augusta, SC from 10AM – 4PM

Donations are also accepted at Salvation Army locations including:

· Kroc Center, 1833 Broad Street, Augusta, GA
