Exciting things continue to occur at the Exit 5 area, as the Sweetwater Development continues to progress with the recent closing of the former Waffle House building on Edgefield Road. This property, which is just over a half acre in size, will be developed into a Marco’s Pizza.
North Augusta mayor Bob Petit had this to say: “Marco’s expansion to the Sweetwater area is another example of quality development occurring throughout North Augusta.” “We continue to be proud to be a part of the growth in this corridor” says Joel Presley, who brokered the sale.
“We’re excited to be in this market” says Woody Johnson, general partner in Pizza Guys, LLC, the group that owns the local franchise.
Sweetwater, a 300-acre master-planned development in North Augusta, South Carolina on Hwy 25 just off Exit 5 / I-20, includes Sweetwater Commons (a Class-A community of 200 luxury cottages bounded by 115 acres of wooded conservation area), a Walmart Supercenter, various existing and coming retail developments, and now, a Marco’s Pizza.
Recent Developments include: Holiday Inn Express, Dairy Queen, Verizon Wireless.
Under Construction are: Dollar Tree, AT&T, Sprint Foods.
