Club Car, the global leader in golf and utility vehicles and a brand of Ingersoll Rand, announced plans to relocate to a new 550,000+ square foot location in Appling, Ga. in Columbia County.

“Club Car has been a long-standing member of this community and we are pleased to strengthen our presence in the Augusta area,” said Mark Wagner, president of Club Car. “The new building developed by Prologis, a global leader in logistics real estate, will allow us to bring all of our parts and materials warehouses together in one, larger space, and it will enable us to continue to deliver the highest quality products to our customers.”

Today, Club Car is leasing space for its distribution center at two different locations in Augusta. The move to a larger space will help the company combine its operations, allowing the company to better meet the demands of its customers and further focus on the growth of the Club Car brand. This location was chosen because of the long-standing relationship with Columbia County and the flexibility the additional space provides.

“On behalf of the Development Authority of Columbia County, I would like to thank Club Car for their continued commitment to our community,” said Hugh Hollar, chairman of the development authority of Columbia County. “Club Car has been a significant long time community partner and we wish them the best as they grow their business in Columbia County.”

Club Car has maintained multi-purpose operations in Augusta since it was founded in 1958. Today, Club Car designs and manufactures golf cars, commercial utility vehicles and personal –use transportation.
