Augusta Regional Airport (AGS) in conjunction with Augusta Aviation (DNL) has partnered with the Richmond County Board of Education (RCBOE) and the Burke County Public School System (BCPS) to offer High School students the opportunity to shadow multiple aviation departments!

The Shadow Program is designed to provide students that are interested in the aviation industry the opportunity to shadow professionals within each field, to gain knowledge and experience through the use of observation and hands-on opportunities.

Four students will be selected to participate in this program. Each student will spend two weeks at each Airport learning about their operations in areas such as, Airfield Maintenance, Aircraft Maintenance, Avionics, Line Service, Airport Operations, Emergency Responses, and Airport Engineering.

“As part of our partnership with the school systems and DNL, we are proud to continuously provide local students with opportunities to learn more about the Aviation Industry,” said Herbert Judon Jr., Airport’s Executive Director. “We hope this experience will provide these students with knowledge and familiarity in the field, as they pursue their career in aviation.”
