CEO Search Open for Augusta Sports Council

Staff Report From Augusta CEO

Monday, April 16th, 2018

The Augusta Sports Council board of directors announce a formal search for a new chief executive officer and would like to thank Stacie Adkins for her service to the organization since 2015.

At the end of this month, Adkins will resign from her role as CEO of the ASC and transition her career in a new leadership role within the community. Adkins says, "My tenure at the ASC has been a very fulfilling experience both personally and professionally.  This organization is a huge driving force economically within our region, and will continue to produce and/or attract sporting events for our citizens and guests. I cannot thank the board, staff, volunteers, and our guests enough for giving me the opportunity to lead this organization for the past several years.”

A few of the more recognizable ASC's accomplishments during Adkin’s tenure include securing another three year contract to host IRONMAN 70.3 Augusta (2018-2020), and recruiting the USSSA World Military Softball Championships in 2016-17, which may possibly be the largest tournament for our area with 124 participating teams.
